Accelerated Subscriptions Introduction

It's important to test your app before publishing it live. With Live App Testing (LAT), you can assign testers to test the app in a beta environment. For details on how to get started, see Get Started with Live App Testing.

An in-app purchase is an item that a customer can purchase inside the app. Using In-App Purchasing (IAP), you can make your app free, yet still make a profit. Currently, there are three types of IAP items:

Subscriptions
Entitlements
Consumables

In the past, to test a subscription for one of the supported periods (such as weekly, monthly, or annually), you would have to wait for the full subscription plan to expire to see if it would renew correctly.

With accelerated subscriptions, this has changed. Now in a matter of minutes, you can test even an annual subscription.

Note: You can't add accelerated subscriptions and keep other old subscriptions testing-enabled. For that reason, if you enable accelerated subscriptions, all old subscription testing is canceled.

Note: You can use the Receipt Verification Service to verify purchase receipts generated from accelerated subscription IAP orders.
