Manage Dash Replenishment Devices and Inventory
Complete the following procedures to view and update your device settings in the Dash console. For an overview of Dash Replenishment, see About Dash Replenishment.
View devices and inventory
After you register a device for Dash Replenishment, you can view your device and the product inventory in the Dash console.
To view a device and inventory in the Dash console
- Sign in to the Dash console with your Amazon developer account.
- To view details for a device, scroll to find the device, and then, to open the device details page, click the row.
- To view the inventory for a device, on the device details page, open the Slot Localization tab.
- To view the assigned replenishment IDs for your inventory, open the Request Replenishment ID tab.
Edit device and inventory details
Before you submit your device inventory for replenishment IDs, you can edit device and inventory details from the Dash console. If you change the consumable products that your device uses, you can add and remove inventory slots. After Dash certification, you can add marketplaces only.
Edit device details
You can change device details, such as the Dash device name and image.
To change the Dash device name or device image
- Sign in to the Dash console with your Amazon developer account.
- Scroll to find the device, and then, to open the device details page, click the row.
- To change the device name, click next to the current name, enter the new name, and then click Save.
Maximum characters: 60 - To change the image, on the image box, click .
- Navigate to the folder where you stored your image file, select the image, and then click Open.
To change the friendly device name
- Under Marketplaces, click the marketplace where you want to change the device name.
- Open the Device Localization tab.
- Enter the localized friendly name for your device, and then click Update.
The customer sees the friendly name in the Alexa app and in inventory notifications. - Repeat for each marketplace.
To add or delete a marketplace for your device
You can add a marketplace for your device at any time. You can delete a marketplace before your device receives Dash certification.
To add a marketplace
- Sign in to the Dash console with your Amazon developer account.
- Scroll to find the device, and then, to open the device details page, click the row.
- Under Marketplaces, scroll passed the configured marketplaces, and then click Manage marketplaces.
- For Select Marketplace(s) for your device:, find the marketplace that you want to add, and then click +.
- To save the selected marketplaces, click Update Marketplace(s).
- To add the friendly device name in new marketplaces, complete the following steps.
- Open the Device Localization tab.
- Enter the localized friendly name for your device, and then, to save the name, click Update.
- Repeat for each new marketplace.
- To add the customer facing slot names in new marketplaces, see Edit inventory details.
To delete a marketplace
- Under Marketplaces, find the marketplace that you want to delete, and then click x.
- To delete the marketplace, for Are you sure you want to remove this device…, click Yes.
Add or delete slots
If you add or delete replacement products, you can add and delete slots from your device.
To add or delete slots for the device
- Sign in to the Dash console with your Amazon developer account.
- Scroll to find the device, and then, to open the device details page, click the row.
- At the top of the page next to Device Slots, click .
- To add a slot, click + Add another slot, and then enter an identifier for the slot.
Valid characters: letters, numbers, underscore, dash. - Under Consumable Category, select the product category for the item.
Note: If none of the category options apply or your device works with your manufactured products only, select Other. Then, send your custom Amazon Standard Identification Number (ASIN) list to Amazon. For more details, see Contact the Dash Replenishment program.
- Repeat Steps 4 and 5 for each additional slot that you want to add.
- To delete a slot, find the slot name that you want to delete, and then click x.
- To save the slots, click Save.
- If you add slots, to add the customer facing slot names, see Edit inventory details.
Edit inventory details
Before Amazon generates replenishment IDs, you can change the slot category and customer-facing slot name. The name identifies the replaceable product.
To edit inventory details for a slot
- Sign in to the Dash console with your Amazon developer account.
- Scroll to find the device, and then, to open the device details page, click the row.
- To change the Consumable category for a slot, complete the following steps.
- At the top of the page, next to Device Slots, click .
- Find the slot that you want to update, and then, under Consumable Category, select the product category for the item.
- Repeat for each slot that you want to update, and then click Save.
- To change the customer-facing slot name for a slot, complete the following steps.
- Open the Slot Localization tab.
- Select the slot ID for the replacement product that you want to update.
- To update the slot name , for Customer-Facing Slot Name, enter the localized product type for the item in that slot, and then click Update.
The customer sees this name in inventory notifications. - Repeat for each slot that you want to update.
- Repeat for each marketplace.
