Editor’s Note: On May 10, we announced the availability of Intent History in the Alexa developer console, in addition to the Intent Request History API in the Alexa Skill Management API and Alexa Skills Kit Command-Line Interface.

We are happy to announce the availability of Intent History in the Alexa developer console in addition to the previously announced Intent Request History API in Alexa Skill Management API (SMAPI) and Alexa Skills Kit Command-Line Interface (ASK CLI). Intent History helps you to improve customer experience by understanding how your customers are engaging with your Alexa skill. Intent History offers an aggregated and anonymized view of intent requests from the last 30 days for Alexa skills that have 10 or more daily active customers.

Intent History allows you to filter the customers’ requests by intents, confidence level (high, medium, or low), and several other characteristics. You can analyze the data in several different ways to guide updates to your skill’s sample utterances and slots in the developer console:

  • Detect anomalies where customer requests are mapped to the wrong intent with high confidence, resulting in undesired skill response.
  • Identify requests that resolve to an intent with low confidence, resulting in Alexa re-prompting the customer for a response.
  • Identify missing use cases that you may want to include in your skill.
  • Identify popular slot values in different locales.

Learn more about the Intent History. You can access Intent History via the Build page in the Alexa developer console, as shown below or can use Intent Request History API via SMAPI or ASK CLI:
