The Fire TV experience is now on Echo Show 15 devices in the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Australia, and Japan. Echo Show 15 is our first Smart Display with the Fire TV built in, which can be mounted on a wall or placed on a counter. Echo Show 15 with Fire TV built in provides developers the opportunity to reach even more new customers beyond the existing 150 million Fire TV devices worldwide.

Developer details for Echo Show 15

The Echo Show 15 has a 15.6” Full HD display and an Amlogic POP1 processor supporting AV1/HVEC/MPEG codecs, 6-Mic array, 5MP Camera, 3GB RAM, 16GB of flash memory, Alexa capabilities, and touch support.

The device runs on Fire OS 7, which requires a minimum target API level of 28. Review the device specifications and device filtering and compatibility guidelines to ensure maximum compatibility across devices.

For existing Fire TV apps

Echo Show 15 devices are touch-enabled, so we strongly recommend optimizing your app to provide the best experience possible. Implementing touch support ensures customers aren’t dependent on a remote control to engage with your content.

To enable touch support, read this developer article and our docs on Touch UI best practices.

Note: If you have not implemented an in-app keyboard or touch support, an on-screen touch keyboard will appear when tapping on “Edit Text“.
