Interface IScrollableView5

interface IScrollableView5
Extends IScrollableView4 IScrollableView5 interface extends IScrollableView4 and adds support for configuring independent fading edge lengths at the start and end of the scrollable content. The fading edge effect provides a visual indication that more content is available to scroll in a given direction. This interface supersedes IScrollableView::setFadingEdgeProperties for configuring fading edge length. Per-edge setters override only their respective edge; a subsequent call to IScrollableView::setFadingEdgeProperties updates both edges. See individual setter documentation for full precedence rules.

Methods

setStartFadingEdgeLength()

void setStartFadingEdgeLength(float length)
Sets the fading edge length for the start edge. The start edge corresponds to the top for vertical scrolling or the left edge for horizontal scrolling, regardless of layout direction. IScrollableView::setFadingEdgeEnabled must be called with true for this length to take effect. A value of 0 disables the fading edge for the start edge. The default fading edge length is 50. This is an upgraded version of IScrollableView::setFadingEdgeProperties and is the recommended API for configuring fading edges. This method updates only the start edge, overriding any prior state for the start edge including state set by IScrollableView::setFadingEdgeProperties; the end edge retains its current state. A subsequent call to IScrollableView::setFadingEdgeProperties updates both edges and overrides any prior per-edge configuration.

Parameters

length
float — Required The length of the fading edge for the start edge. Must be non-negative.

Throws

  • InvalidArgumentError — if length is negative; the existing fading edge state for the start edge is preserved.

setEndFadingEdgeLength()

void setEndFadingEdgeLength(float length)
Sets the fading edge length for the end edge. The end edge corresponds to the bottom for vertical scrolling or the right edge for horizontal scrolling, regardless of layout direction. IScrollableView::setFadingEdgeEnabled must be called with true for this length to take effect. A value of 0 disables the fading edge for the end edge. The default fading edge length is 50. This is an upgraded version of IScrollableView::setFadingEdgeProperties and is the recommended API for configuring fading edges. This method updates only the end edge, overriding any prior state for the end edge including state set by IScrollableView::setFadingEdgeProperties; the start edge retains its current state. A subsequent call to IScrollableView::setFadingEdgeProperties updates both edges and overrides any prior per-edge configuration.

Parameters

length
float — Required The length of the fading edge for the end edge. Must be non-negative.

Throws

  • InvalidArgumentError — if length is negative; the existing fading edge state for the end edge is preserved.
