The Gadgets Skill API enables you to build skills for Alexa Gadgets. The Gadgets Skill API currently supports one gadget type, Echo Buttons, physical buttons that connect to compatible Echo devices over Bluetooth.
With the Gadgets Skill API, you can control and receive input from Echo Buttons, such as skills that illuminate the buttons and react to button presses. You can create first-to-respond games, multiple choice games, sequence puzzles, sound effect generators, novelty experiences, and more.
The Gadget Controller gives skills the power to control Alexa Gadgets, such as sending a “green” light command to Echo Buttons to indicate a correct response.
The Game Engine is used to define and interpret button presses from Echo Buttons so that your skill can respond with assigned reactions.
Get inspired by these innovative games, and start building your own Echo Buttons skills.
