Vega Studio Commands

The following tables list the Vega commands available in Visual Studio (VS Code) command palette. You can use the following commands during app development.

Set up and validation

Full Command Description
Kepler SDK: Validate Kepler SDK Performs validation tasks to determine if the local environment has the necessary prerequisites to build Vega projects.

Create and build

Full Command Description
Kepler Project: Create a new Kepler project Creates a new project.
Kepler Project: Build and run Kepler project Builds and runs the app.
Kepler Project: Build Kepler project Builds the app.

Install and run on Vega Virtual Device

Full Command Description
Kepler App: Installs the current Kepler App Installs the current app on the selected device. See View your devices.
Kepler App: Uninstalls the current Kepler App Uninstalls the current app from the selected device.
Kepler App: Run the current Kepler App Runs the current app on the selected device.
Kepler App: Reload Application Reloads app without rebuilding it (packager reload), and closes the active debugger session.
Kepler App: Restart App Restart the application currently running on the selected device.

Debug on Fire TV Stick

Full Command Description
Kepler Device Management: Copy ACR from device Copies Aggregate Crash Reports (ACRs) from device to the host.
Kepler Device Management: Copy logs from device Copies logs from device to the host.
Kepler Device Management: Symbolicate JS ACR Processes the JavaScript (JS) ACR and add symbols that point back to the code.

Vega Virtual Device management

Full Command Description
Kepler Virtual Device: Start simulator Starts a simulator session.
Kepler Virtual Device: Stop simulator Stops a simulator session.

Performance analysis

Full Command Description
Kepler: Start Activity Monitor Starts the Activity Monitor for the app, in the current workspace, using the connected device.
Kepler: Open Recording View Opens the Recording View.
