The XMOS VocalFusion Stereo Development Kit for Amazon AVS is designed for developers who want to evaluate and prototype the Alexa Voice Service for slim profile or wall-mounted devices requiring stereo echo cancellation. Those devices include smart TVs, sound bars, set-top boxes, and digital media adapters.
The development kit features a four-microphone linear array for far-field voice capture. Built around XMOS' XVF3500 voice processor, the development kit provides full-duplex stereo Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC) capability for improved barge-in performance. Adaptive beamforming and noise suppression optimizes voice recognition accuracy in noisy environments and from long distances.
The development kit includes a processor board with integrated XVF3500 Voice Processor, I2S serial audio interface + I2C serial control interface; linear array board with four Infineon MEMS mics; xTAG debug adaptor; cables; and a stand optimized to hold both boards. It works with a Raspberry Pi Model 3 (sold separately).
