HiSilicon STB Push-to-Talk Development Kit

A Push-to-Talk remote reference solution for AVS

HiSilicon STB Push-to-Talk Development Kit for Amazon AVS

This push-to-talk remote reference solution for the Alexa Voice Service (AVS) is designed for the set-top box (STB) category. It enables STB device makers and TV operators to build Alexa into new designs and to retrofit deployed STBs to support Alexa. The solution is based on HiSilicon’s 4K System on Chip (SoC) Hi3798MV200 which is suited for multimedia and video applications. The HiSilicon STB Push-to-Talk Development Kit for Amazon AVS offers a full reference implementation of Alexa built-in with support for Display Cards in a typical STB environment. The client application is built with the AVS Device SDK which provides the necessary architecture consistency for device makers to easily leverage the software on other HiSilicon STB SoCs. Features include:

  • An evaluation board running Linux and the AVS Device SDK with Display Cards, and a PTT remote with USB receiver dongle
  • Powerful CPU and GPU processing capabilities with the Hi3796MV200’s quad-core ARM® Cortex® A53 64-bit CPU and a multi-core ARM® MaliTM 450 graphics GPU
