Interface IWifiInterface4

interface IWifiInterface4
Extends IWifiInterface3 Extended Wi-Fi interface with IEEE 802.1X enterprise Wi-Fi support and profile management APIs. Applications targeting enterprise Wi-Fi networks (WPA-EAP) should use createProfile2() to obtain an IProfile2 with enterprise configuration capabilities. All methods in this interface are thread-safe; concurrent calls to updateProfile, restoreProfile, and synchronizeConfig are serialized internally.

Methods

createProfile2()

com.amazon.kepler.net.wifi.common.IProfile2* createProfile2()
Create a new Wi-Fi Profile with enterprise (802.1X) support.

Returns

com.amazon.kepler.net.wifi.common.IProfile2* IProfile2 new Profile with enterprise configuration capability.

updateProfile()

void updateProfile(com.amazon.kepler.net.wifi.common.IProfile* profile)
Update an existing Wi-Fi Profile. The profile is identified by its SSID and authentication mode. This will not be automatically saved — call saveProfiles() to persist the change. If the profile has AuthMode.EAP and contains an enterprise configuration (via IProfile2), the EAP fields will be updated.

Parameters

profile
com.amazon.kepler.net.wifi.common.IProfile* — Required Profile with updated fields. Requires com.amazon.network.privilege.net-admin

Throws

restoreProfile()

void restoreProfile(string ssid, com.amazon.kepler.net.wifi.common.AuthMode* authMode)
Restore the original Wi-Fi Profile (undo pending changes that have not been saved).

Parameters

ssid
string — Required the SSID of the profile to restore.
authMode
com.amazon.kepler.net.wifi.common.AuthMode* — Required the authentication mode of the profile to restore. authMode can be set to AuthMode.UNKNOWN to match any authentication mode. Requires com.amazon.network.privilege.net-admin

Throws

synchronizeConfig()

void synchronizeConfig()
Synchronize the Wi-Fi configuration between memory and persistent storage. Removes abandoned configuration slots. Requires com.amazon.network.privilege.net-admin
