Eligibility

The Challenge is open to residents of the United Kingdom excluding (a) anyone connected in a professional capacity with the Prize Draw and that person’s immediate family members, and (b) employees and contractors of Amazon and its affiliates or of the Prize Provider(s) (defined below).  Entrants must be attendees of droidcon London 2023. Entrants must be aged 18 years or older. Entrants are not required to have an Amazon.co.uk account.

Entry implies acceptance of these terms and conditions, and any amendments to them, which are final and binding in all respects. Amazon reserves the right to disqualify any entrant from the Challenge if, in its sole judgement, the entrant has not complied with these terms and conditions, has tampered with the operation of the Challenge, or has engaged in any conduct that is detrimental or unfair to Amazon, the Challenge, or any other entrant.


Opening/Closing Date & Time

The Challenge opens on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 8:00am BST and closes at 5:30pm BST on Friday, October 27, 2023 (the “Challenge Period”).

Prize

On each day of the Challenge Period, there will be puzzles to solve. There will be seven hard puzzles to solve (each a “Puzzle” and together the “Puzzles”) and seven total prizes to be won (each a “Prize” and together the “Prizes”). Prizes consist of:

(a)  Four (4) Echo Show 15 devices (link)

(b)  Three (3) Fire TV Stick 4K devices (link)

Please note:

1)    Each Prize must be redeemed in full by the end of the event, 5:30pm BST on Friday October 27, 2023.

2)    In the event that you collect a Prize that is damaged, the damage must be reported within 24 hours to Amazon who may, at its sole discretion, substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Please contact everita@amazon.com.

3)    The Prizes carry no cash value and may not be transferred or substituted, except that Amazon may, at its sole discretion, substitute any Prize won with a prize of equal or greater value.

4)    Any unclaimed Prize remains the property of Amazon.


How to Enter & Win

On each day of the Challenge Period, Amazon will share the Puzzles in the devLounge.

To win, entrants must be the first to solve the Puzzle and show the Amazon team member the final, correct answer to collect their Prize. Entrants may solve and collect a Prize only once per day. Duplicate entries will not be accepted.

By accepting the Prize, entrants consent to the use of their name, county of residence, likeness and/or Prize information for promotional and other purposes without further payment, except where prohibited by law. A winner may be required to participate in Amazon's reasonable marketing and promotional activities; by entering into the Competition you consent to participate in such activities. Please note that any photos or videos provided by entrants may be posted on the Amazon Appstore Developer Facebook page, and/or on the Amazon Appstore Developer Twitter feed, and/or the Amazon Appstore Developer LinkedIn page.

(d)  Waiver of Liability: Neither Amazon nor the Prize Provider will be responsible or liable for: (i) any postponement, delay or changes that may impact participation in the Competition caused by events beyond reasonable control; (ii) any user generated content connected to this Competition; (iii) any disruptions, injuries, losses or damages caused by events beyond their reasonable control; or (iv) any prCinting or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Competition.

(e)  General Release: By entering the Competition you release Amazon, the Prize Provider, relevant third parties, and each of their respective affiliated companies, directors, officers, employees, representatives and agencies, from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Competition or with the acceptance, possession, or use of any prize, except as prohibited by law.
