Interfaces

  • ITraceCategory — ITraceCategory interface contains APIs that emit tracepoints for various application operations based on the Category type. Predefined categories have been provided for convenience.
  • ITraceCategory2 — ITraceCategory2 interface extends ITraceCategory to add new API calls
  • IVtrace — IVtrace interface contains APIs to for trace session control and creating an ITraceCategory object
  • IVtraceService — An interface for creating instances of IVtrace
  • IVtrace2 — IVtrace interface contains APIs to for trace session control and creating an ITraceCategory object
  • ITracePointBuilder — ITracePointBuilder interface is a builder for creating a generic tracepoint calls for begin, end, and instant tracepoints. When using ITraceCategory to make a tracepoint, a name and args must be passed or a tracepoint will not be properly emitted. All other categories are optional.
  • ITraceCounterBuilder — ITraceCounterBuilder interface is a builder for emitting counter calls, used to track an item throughout a trace capture. When using ITraceCounterBuilder, a name must be passed to properly create the object. All other categories are optional.
  • ITracePoint — ITracePoint interface extends ITraceCategory to add new API calls. Tracepoints emitted with this interface can be emitted in three ways: Instant: A tracepoint at an instant of type, depicted as an arrow on Perfetto Begin->End: A tracepoint representing a block of time, depicted as a rectangle on Perfetto. These two functions must be called in order.
  • ITraceCounter — ITraceCounter interface contains APIs that track time-varying numerical data.
