Apply for an Alexa Connect Kit Project

The Alexa Connect Kit (ACK) is a managed service program. To build and launch an ACK-based product, you must first apply and establish a partnership with the ACK team. Dedicated ACK development support is available to companies with an active ACK partnership.

Contact Amazon about your project

To start an ACK project, follow these steps:

  1. Prepare your project details and email the ACK team at ack-apply@amazon.com. For details about what to include, see Project details.
  2. If your project aligns with the ACK program, the ACK team engages with your company to complete the necessary agreements.
  3. After the agreements are in place, Amazon provides your company with access to dedicated ACK development support.
  4. Start the product prototyping process with guidance from your ACK support engineer.

Project details

If you're a device maker interested in moving forward with a project, include the following information in your email:

  • Your name and contact information.
  • The name of your company.
  • A description of your project.

Include the following information, if you have it:

  • A target year and quarter for the launch of your product.
  • A target shipment volume, rounded to the nearest 1,000 units.
  • Your Amazon vendor ID.
For a vendor ID, you need an Amazon Developer Account.
  • The ACK solution that you plan to use: ACK Module, ACK SDK, or ACK for Matter.
  • If you plan to support Matter, include your Matter Product ID and Matter Vendor ID. To get these IDs, contact the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA).

Amazon can't guarantee a response to every inquiry.

ACK self-service resources

If you have questions about ACK development and certification that aren't answered in the Alexa developer documentation, try one of the following options for help:

  • Ask the DevAssistant for support. The DevAssistant is an AI-powered assistant that can answer questions and troubleshoot issues.
  • To resolve error messages that appear in the Alexa Connect Kit developer console, see ACK Console Error Reference.
  • To get help from the developer community, post your questions on Stack Overflow. Make sure to tag your questions with alexa-connect-kit.
  • If you still need help, contact your ACK support engineer. Amazon provides access to the ACK support team as part of your ACK project.
