Connected Speaker Overview

Connected Speaker Skills enable users to play and control music on commercially available audio devices. Connected speaker implementations separate input and output to direct music output to the separate audio system and to direct all Alexa text-to-speech (TTS) responses, such as weather or Flash Briefing, to the Alexa input device. The device maker also receives visual metadata to potentially display in a device companion app.
