We’re thrilled to announce the Echo Buttons Game Skills Contest with Hackster.io, an opportunity for US developers to publish a game skill for Echo Buttons for a chance to win their share of Amazon.com Gift Cards* and prizes totaling $25,000. With Echo Buttons, developers can build even more engaging gaming experiences that bring families and friends together. Each button illuminates and can be pressed to trigger a variety of play experiences powered by Alexa. One finalist will take home a $5,000 Amazon.com Gift Card and will get their skill promoted by Amazon.

On top of all that, the winners will get:

• Grand Prize - Best Echo Buttons Game: One grand prize winner will receive a $5,000 Amazon.com Gift Card.
• Finalists - Best Echo Buttons Game: Four finalist winners will receive a $2,500 Amazon.com Gift Card.
• Best Echo Buttons Kids Game: One winner will receive a $2,000 Amazon.com Gift Card To be eligible, you must indicate that your skill will be directed to children under the age of 13 before you submit. Learn more.
• Best Echo Buttons Action Game: One winner will receive a $1,500 Amazon.com Gift Card.
• Best Echo Buttons Trivia Game: One winner will receive a $1,500 Amazon.com Gift Card.
• First 150 Echo Buttons Games Published: Receive a 2-pack of Echo Buttons, with a bonus $100 Amazon.com Gift Card for the first 25 games published. 

These prizes are to be split among team members, or hoarded if the winning skill was built by just one person. You have 10 weeks to build and submit your skill for certification and provide your submission package to Hackster.io by November 25. What Are We Looking For?

The Echo Buttons Game Skills Contest invites developers to build an Echo Buttons game skill that educates and entertains Alexa customers. We’re looking for skills that bring friends and family back for game night.

Your skill will be judged on:

• Quality, creativity, and originality of your idea
• Implementation of your idea including ease-of-use and whether it performs as expected
• Potential impact including its ability to educate and entertain with Echo Buttons
• Accompanying submission package including the skill description and ID, video demo, and other materials
