Today, we’re excited to announce Alexa’s continued participation in AWS re:Invent 2017, the largest gathering of the global Amazon developer community. AWS re:Invent provides an opportunity to connect with peers and technology experts, engage in hands-on labs and bootcamps, and learn about new technologies. AWS re:Invent runs November 27 through December 1, 2017 in Las Vegas, NV. Locations included are the ARIA, Encore, MGM, Mirage, The LINQ, and the Venetian.
This year, Alexa will offer over 40 technical sessions and hands-on labs at the Aria to help developers learn to design voice experiences and dive deep into the technology behind the Alexa Skills Kit and the Alexa Voice Service. Alexa sessions will have a special focus on using AWS Services to enable voice experiences. We’ll cover AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudFormation, Cognito, Elastic Beanstalk, and more. You’ll hear from senior evangelists, product leaders, and engineers, and learn best practices from Alexa developers. We’ll share more details on our sessions and workshop closer to the event.
We are offering a special discount for Alexa developers to attend AWS re:Invent this year. Use the Alexa discount code to receive $100 off of your registration. Discount Code: SALALXA17. If you have any registration questions, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please keep a lookout for more information related to Alexa at AWS re:Invent including session tracks and keynotes at re:Invent 2017. We look forward to seeing you there.
Developers have built more than 15,000 skills with the Alexa Skills Kit. Explore the stories behind some of these innovations, then start building your own skill. If you’re serious about getting into building voice UIs, we’d like to help you explore. If you publish a skill in July, we’ll send you an Echo Dot so you can experiment and daydream. Developers in the US can also get a pair of limited-edition Alexa dev socks. Skills built using our fact template are not eligible.
