Cirrus Logic is a leading provider of audio processing hardware and software solutions. Its DSPs, integrated circuits, and audio algorithms have attracted the world’s largest makers of smart devices. We’re excited to announce that Cirrus Logic has released its Voice Capture Development Kit for the Alexa Voice Service (AVS), designed for the development of Alexa-enabled smart speakers, portable speakers, and compact audio devices.
Cirrus Logic’s Voice Capture Development Kit for Amazon AVS delivers proven hardware and software components for high-accuracy wake-word triggering and command interpretation, even from moderate distances in noisy environments and during loud audio loud playback. The reference board provides clean voice capture with its embedded CS47L24 dual core DSP and Smart Codec; digital MEMS microphones; and SoundClear algorithms for voice control, noise suppression, and echo cancellation. The DSP integrates a high-performance digital-to-analog converter (DAC) with a two-watt mono speaker driver for audio playback.
The dev kit includes a voice capture board with 2-microphone array, Raspberry Pi 3 (RPi3), speaker, and microSD card preloaded with all required firmware for fast system bring-up. Cirrus Logic’s Control Console provides simplified, headless operation from any browser of the various RPi3 applications, and can be used to perform advanced acoustic tuning and diagnostic functions.
The schematic design of Cirrus Logic's Voice Capture Development Kit for Amazon AVS is optimized for reduced time-to-market with a cost-effective bill of materials in many AVS applications.
