We are excited to announce a new competition that invites makers to create the smart home gadgets of the future. We’ve teamed up with Arduino, a leading open-source hardware and software ecosystem, and Hackster.io to bring you the Alexa and Arduino Smart Home Challenge.

Bring your smart home ideas to life using an Arduino board and Alexa. Makers have already connected Alexa and Arduino to create talking teddy bears, voice-controlled blinds, and robotic coffee makers. Look into the future and imagine ways to make your living room interactive, automate your garden, or anything else you can think of.

Productize with Prizes

We want to give winners the kind of prizes that might help turn their ideas into a company. That means potential manufacture and product development of your idea via Dragon Innovation Certification, Kickstarter packages, coaching sessions, and cash.

Contest Details

Build and submit a project using Alexa and Arduino. You’ll also submit a narrative documentation of your development process.

The Best Overall Alexa Smart Home Skill & Gadget winner will get a prize package worth $29,000, including:
