The Euclid API includes a suite of custom control authoring tools, which allow you to create custom 3D controls and add them to your apps. The tools include the following:

  • EuclidBuilder: EuclidBuilder is an Autodesk Maya plugin that provides editing and export facilities specific to the Euclid API.
  • Euclid Bundle Builder (EBB): Euclid Bundle Builder (EBB) converts a single 3D asset into a format usable by the Euclid runtime.
  • MakeBundles: Makebundles is a Python script in the UX Repo that converts a set of 3D assets into a format usable by the Euclid runtime.
  • ModelMan: ModelMan is a visualization tool on the Fire phone for 3D assets packaged in visual bundles.

Development Process

The typical process for using these tools is shown below.

This documentation set includes a page corresponding to each of the steps listed above, as well as a supplementary page, called Understanding the Workflow for Visual Assets, which describes the flow of data from digital content creation tools through runtime.
