What is it?

 

A free event that will provide an introduction to using Amazon Web Services with the Alexa Skills Kit to build voice driven experiences on Amazon Echo and other devices. The day will also include an open hackathon providing you time to get your hands on building a new Alexa Skill.
 

What will the day look like?

 

The morning will start with an introduction to using Amazon Echo and how to build your first Alexa Skill using both AWS Lambda and AWS Beanstalk. We’ll also take a look at how to monitor your new Alexa Skill using AWS CloudWatch and how to submit your Alexa Skills for certification so they will be available to customers later this year. Once the morning talk is finished we will have an open hackathon where you can receive 1:1 help from Amazon Developer Evangelists and AWS Solution Architects.

 

Are there any prizes?

 

All attendees who demo their new Alexa Skill at the event will be entered in a raffle to win Fire TVs and an Amazon Echo!
