Example Device

Bose QC 35 II

The Bose QuietComfort 35 (QC 35 II) Wireless Headphones II provide users instant access to Alexa with the touch of the action button on the left earcup.

Bose QC 35 II is the first headphone that implements Amazon's Alexa Mobile Accessory (AMA) protocol. The AMA protocol connects Bluetooth-enabled audio devices with the Amazon Alexa App, enabling hands-free Alexa experiences across a range of device types. The device communicates control and voice data messages with the Alexa App over Bluetooth. The Alexa App then mediates all communications and protocol interactions to Alexa Voice Service, and coordinates any responses played back to the user through a combination of protocol responses and A2DP based playback.
