Skill Connections is now Generally Available in the Alexa Skills Kit. Skill connections enable a skill to use another skill to perform a specific task, so you can do more for your customers by extending your skill's abilities with minimal changes.

Today, we’re excited to announce three upgrades to our Alexa Skills Kit (ASK) Software Development Kits (SDKs) that make them easier to use and integrate to your existing infrastructure.

Now Generally Available: Select Alexa-hosted for your skill’s back-end when creating a new skill to automatically provision a set of Alexa-hosted AWS cloud services for your skill’s back-end.

You can now detect when your skill is being used from an Alexa Auto vehicle or device and adapt your experience to be contextual.
