We are proud to partner with VisionMobile for the 11th edition Developer Economics survey made by developers, for developers. This survey—Developer Tools Benchmarking—focuses on developer tools and is a great opportunity for you to tell us what what’s fantastic or frustrating about the tools you’re using, what you're building, why, and where you go to find out how. This survey is open to everyone involved in software development, across mobile, IoT, desktop, cloud, gaming, augmented/virtual reality, machine learning, and more!
VisionMobile are the analysts of the developer economy. Their research has been helping the world understand developers, and developers understand the world for the past 6 years. Their mission is to predict how software will change our world - using data.
As a developer, your opinion is important to help us understand how we can serve you better. Whether you are looking to share your thoughts with the dev community, find out something new, contribute to the leading developer research or even win a prize, this is the survey for you. The survey features questions on topics like programming languages, platforms, app categories, tool categories, revenue models, IoT verticals - and, of course - tools! It’s a survey made by developers, for developers - so the questions are very relevant!
It will only take 15 minutes to complete. Fill out the survey and be entered to win one of the many prizes that are prices up for grabs, from handsets to gadgets and software license, including an iPhone 6s, an Xperia Z5, a Nexus 6P, one pass to Wearables TechCon 2016, GMIC Bangalore conference and more. VisionMobile will also share the survey findings with you, and show you how your answers compare you to other developers in your country. To be eligible for the draw, you just need to provide a valid email address. The prize draw will be held in June, and whether you win or lose we’ll let you know.
Every participant gets something. Upon completing the survey, you’ll get access to the Developer Scorecards, helping you find out how your answers compare to other developers’ in your country, across 9+ metrics (developer experience, preferred platforms and languages, and many more). MobileVision will be sharing the key findings of the survey in the form of the FREE State of the Developer Nation report (due July).
Now in its 6th year, VisionMobile’s flagship Developer Economics research program surveys 30,000+ developers from across the globe each year, uncovering developer experiences across platforms, APIs, revenue models, apps, dev tools, and regions. The key findings from each survey are published in our free State of the Developer Nation reports.
